An Economic Update from the Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve has been a central player in the recent US economic developments. The views and decisions of the Federal Reserve have shaped the recent recovery and impacted interest rates and inflation nationwide. Come learn the data behind the Fed’s actions, both nationally and for Michigan, specifically, and gain insight into why and how the Fed does what it does to monitor and manage economic factors.

His research revolves around the Michigan economy and its impact on the District and national economies. In addition to his Federal Reserve work, Mr. Lavelle teaches managerial economics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and volunteers with Junior Achievement, teaching high school students about entrepreneurship.
